Walker, Thomas Owen Davis

Thomas Owen Davis Walker (1822-1865) was born in Wilmington, NC, the son of John (1789-1862) and Eliza Morehead Davis Walker (1805-1887). He entered the University in 1839 and graduated in 1843. He became a lawyer, married Mary Vance Dickinson in 1846, and in 1862 took over as president of the Wilmington and Manchester Railroad. He died in 1863 in Sumter, SC, of typhoid fever.
